Digital Marketing and the end of prospecting for Real Estate agents!

 Brent CarnduffQuick Introduction

Hi, thanks for visiting!

Real Estate Background

My wife and I moved to Las Vegas in June of 2015, and became licensed real estate agents (and REALTORS®) in early July of 2015.

We spent the majority of our first year working with renters out of a Property Management office, and in the classroom. In May of 2016, we moved to Keller Williams and started our real estate careers in earnest.

We got off to a modest start, but are hoping to take off in 2017.

I was fortunate to have a great Productivity Coach for the first few months at Keller Williams, then explored different coaching options, finally deciding to join Cody Gibson and the United Home Group expansion team.

Business and Educational Background

I have an Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Oregon State University and a MBA in Financial Planning from California Lutheran University. Prior to 2010, I was an elementary school teacher and High School girl’s basketball coach for 17 and 15 years respectively.

In 2008, I returned to school to work on my MBA. During that time I started reading about the opportunities for both individuals and businesses online and decided that I really wanted to be part of it all. I was especially drawn to SEO. It offered many of the same outlets and challenges that I had previously filled with coaching – the need to be constantly learning, high level competition, a scoreboard (search engine ranking page) that clearly outlined the winners and losers, and the chance to succeed (or fail) on my own merits.

In 2010, after completing my MBA, I left my teaching position to work on my SEO company – Advisor Web Marketing – full-time.

Advisor Web Marketing

At Advisor Web Marketing I focused on working with the financial services industry – because of my background and training in Financial Planning it was a natural fit. Since that time I’ve worked with a variety of financial planning firms and small businesses across the country, providing SEO, Content Creation, and web design services to them.

During that time I became a VIP Contributor to Search Engine Journal (the 2nd largest SEO news site in the world with over 1 million visitors per month), and appeared around the web on industry blogs, webinars, and podcasts.

I continue to work with a select group of Financial Advisors through AWM.

Personal Background

I’m a Canadian ex-pat – I’ve lived in the United States since 1990. I’m married to Katie, and have two great children (Daniel and Ashley). When I’m not working, I enjoy time with my family, cycling, walking, movies, reading and writing – my secret dream is to be a published author (both business and fiction). I cheer for the New England Patriots, Calgary Flames (very excited that we’re getting a team here in Las Vegas), UNLV and Oregon State basketball, and the Oakland A’s. I’m very excited about the additions of the Vegas Golden Knights to the NHL next season, and the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020!

I am on the board for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), and was the JV Girls Basketball coach at Coronado High School for the 2016 – 2017 season.

Thanks for reading! Hope you can join me in my journey to “the end of prospecting”.
